Jeffrey Jonas
Managing Director

Jeffrey Jonas is a Managing Director with NachmanHaysBrownstein, Inc. Mr. Jonas has over 20 years of senior level financial and operational experience across a broad range of industries. He has significant expertise in business plan preparation and analysis, working capital management, international finance and business process reengineering, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance implementation.

Prior to joining NachmanHaysBrownstein, Mr. Jonas was a Consultant with FTI in Saddlebrook, NJ, where his assignments included financial advisory services for the senior lenders of a major movie exhibition company with debt in excess of $900 million, due diligence of a health care provider for an investment bank, business plan review of a distressed injection molding firm and financial advisory services for the bondholders of a waste transfer company.

Mr. Jonas served as Chief Financial Officer for the U.S. subsidiaries of the French packaging company Nord Est Emballage in New Jersey and New York City. In this role, he successfully managed all aspects of the operations of a distressed subsidiary, including guiding it through Chapter 11 reorganization. He maximized creditor recoveries through elimination or outsourcing of unprofitable product lines, consolidation of manufacturing overhead functions and negotiation of favorable subleasing terms of the company’s facilities.

As Vice President of Finance for Scitex Europe SA in Brussels, a $250 million subsidiary of Scitex, Inc., Mr. Jonas managed 45 professionals within the accounting, treasury, planning and analysis, purchasing, information technology, tax, payroll and sales order processing activities. He successfully developed and implemented a program improving cash flow by 35% through tighter control over working capital, restructuring commissions and developing new financing sources. Through reengineering of the sales process and centralization of finance activities, he increased EBITDA by $2 million. In addition, he was responsible for the selection and implementation of a pan-European accounting system.

Prior to joining Scitex Europe, Mr. Jonas was Director of Finance and Administration for Datapoint France SA and Controller for Datapoint - Southern Europe in Paris. At Datapoint France, he successfully negotiated a $10 million term loan to fund new application development, reengineered the logistics process resulting in a 7% improvement in cash collections, and renegotiated the union labor agreement to eliminate inflationary pay increases in exchange for performance based compensation.

Mr. Jonas has a BA degree in Economics from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Lehigh University. He is fluent in French.
