Max Markidan
Senior Consultant
Max Markidan is a Senior Consultant at NHB Advisors, Inc. He is an experienced management consultant, and has advised executives in a wide range of industries and organizations, ranging from startups to industry leading global corporations. He specializes in operational and overhead cost-reduction during restructuring and turnaround initiatives. In addition, Mr. Markidan has also guided management teams on issues of financial valuation, growth strategy, M&A due-diligence and integration.
Mr. Markidan has worked with institutional investors, including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and Bear Stearns, to reduce expense run-rates in their portfolio companies and acquisition targets. He focused on right-sizing and cutting spending in areas including: human resources, finance, legal, benefits, external spending, real estate, and operations. Mr. Markidan has also done extensive work in the areas of outsourcing and off-shoring.
Max Markidan was previously a Senior Business Consultant in the Middle Markets and Financial Services practice of BearingPoint, Inc. (formerly the consultancy arm of KPMG), where he advised corporations such as Hilton, Verizon, The Carlyle Group, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey, and the U.S. Department of Commerce. At BearingPoint he earned several corporate honors and promotions, in recognition of his efforts and results achieved on behalf of clients.
Max Markidan began his career as an Associate at Milestone Equity Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm. In this role, he was responsible for due-diligence, market research, and financial modeling. In addition, Mr. Markidan supported the firm’s portfolio companies by working with their management teams to develop go-to-market plans, devise financial and operational targets, and prepare and guide the firms through additional capital raises.
Mr. Markidan is a graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in College Park, where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance and a Citation in Entrepreneurship.
