José Pacheco

Senior Consultant

José Pacheco is a Senior Consultant at NHB Advisors, Inc.  He has over 20 years experience in management of plant operations, transfer and rapid improvement of operations in new plant locations, process mapping, SPC, Kaizen, and lean principles. Previously, as a partner at Persal Manufacturing Solutions, he led the development of knowledge based operations systems, quality systems, expense control systems, and a system to plan and control customer orders in a make-to-order business.

In his prior experience, as General Manager of Black & Decker Corporation’s Tech nolock Division of Kwikset Hardware, he was responsible for a $200 million manufacturing operation with 800 employees. In that role, he successfully achieved ISO 14000-plant certification and reduced operating costs by $2 million through Six Sigma disciplines. Before Black & Decker, he was vice president of manufacturing of American Metal Products, an operating company of Masco Corporation, where he was responsible for two plants with over 500 employees, generating sales of over US$45 Million. While at American Metal Products, he established an SPC Program, reduced total operation cost by 21%, improved inventory turns from 4 to 7 per year, improved service levels, and enhanced safety from a 30,000 index to 2,000 per year.

Mr. Pacheco holds a Master in Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and a BS, Manufacturing Engineering from the Universidad de Guadalajara.
