Principal

John Tittle is a Principal of NHB Advisors, Inc. in its Dallas office, and heads the firm’s practice in the Southwest.  Mr. Tittle has almost 30 years of bankruptcy advisory, restructuring, and financial consulting experience.  He has taken a company public and has experience as the Chief Financial Officer, Board Member, and Audit Committee Chair of an AMEX listed retailer and wholesale distributor.  Mr. Tittle’s areas of emphasis include rendering bankruptcy advisory/reorganization services on behalf of varied stakeholders in the bankruptcy/turnaround arena, obtaining debt and equity capital, acting as a principal or an advisor in merger and acquisition activities, including substantial attention to due diligence matters, rendering business valuations and solvency opinions, and providing expert testimony and litigation consulting services in judicial proceedings.  He has been qualified and has testified as an expert witness in various federal and state courts.

Mr. Tittle has gained extensive experience in reorganization activities, bankruptcies, turnaround engagements, valuation, and corporate finance since the mid-1980s.  In these assignments, he has served in the capacities of trustee, management, financial advisor, and consultant and, in the case of numerous acquisition transactions, was involved as a principal.  Mr. Tittle has served varied constituents in numerous bankruptcy advisory service engagements including Debtors, Committees, and Secured Lenders.

His industry experience includes airlines, manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, Internet, merchant power/utilities, telecommunications, media, insurance, construction, railroads, aquaculture, sub-prime finance companies, restaurants, and oil and gas exploration and production.

Prior to joining NHB Advisors, Inc., Mr. Tittle led the Southwest Region for XRoads Solutions Group, LLC and the Reorganization Services practice in the Mid-America Region as a partner for Deloitte.  His prior experience has also included Cascade International Capital Corporation (President), Price Waterhouse LLP (Director), and The Leather Factory, Inc. (Chief Financial Officer).

Mr. Tittle earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas Christian University, magna cum laude.  He is a Certified Turnaround Professional, a Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor.  Mr. Tittle is a Lifetime Member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and serves on its Board of Directors, Education Committee, Finance Committee, and is its Audit Subcommittee Chairperson and the Bankruptcy Taxation Committee Co-Chair.  He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the Turnaround Management Association.  Mr. Tittle is a frequent speaker on financial and restructuring matters and has written articles for the ABI Journal.
